So, just got back from Toronto. It's mother's day so we went to visit Oma and grandma. Not much to elaborate on here, so, yeah. Was overall a good day, anyway. Nice weather for a change.

Oh! Yesterday I watched Lady Gaga's Monster Ball on HBO with mom. It was quite good! I enjoyed it. :3

Man, the Junos were incredibly lame.

Now I remember why I stopped watching them.

AMERICAN IDOL. OMIGOD.

CASEY. FREAKIN. OMIGOD.

I cannot, cannot believe that Casey was even in the bottom, let alone being the one with the least amount of votes, holy mackerel. But the judges saved him, thank god, because seriously he's the best. They know that.

But seriously, America, why do you suck so much? Still shocked.

It turns out I only have one Oasis cd? And it's Be Here Now!! Jeez man, it kills me.

I could've sworn I had the first two. Urg.

My stomach's rumblin' with nerves and my sleep's all messed up even though it's only tuesday ah god help me

Anyway! Music! I've been listening to some new stuff lately but haven't written about it at all, so here we go!

The new Adele album! 21 is so good! SO. GOOD. I loved 19 and this one certainly didn't disappoint. "Rolling In the Deep" was the first I'd heard/seen and man it's a great song and the video is well cool, but really the whole album is so fantastic.

Lissie! Augh I love her! Catching a Tiger is wonderful, been listening to it over and over~ First heard "When I'm Alone", a couple times, but I kept missing who sang it, so it took some time to find her, but maaaan so worth it, she's so great.

White Lies! YES. SO GOOD. Love love love this band. So much. "Bigger Than Us" had been playing on tv and it got me interested, and ohh yessss~ Ritual is so awesome and I like it more (though not by much) than To Lose My Life, even though my favorite song from them (so far; "Farewell to the Fairground") is on that one. Ohoho~

So we're all sitting around talking about the Dire Straits song ban, blah blah whatever.

Kyle didn't know about it, and when we played it for him he said, "Oh, that song? It sucks dicks anyway."

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life. Then we made more jokes and played Tetris. Ah, life.

Found out about the band Malachai, and they are super awesome! Check them out!

Snowflake might be my new favorite song.

So good.

Boxing day shopping!

Got pretty much everything I wanted to, so yay!

Went to Chapters and bought ( books )

then went to BJ's downtown and got some ( music )

Anyway~ watching this top 50 Music Videos of 2010 on MuchMusic right now... they've all kinda sucked so far! There was one Florence + the Machine (Dog Days Are Over) and one Lady Gaga (Alejandro), but the rest have been so whatever.

I just found out that Captain Beefheart died on the 17th omigod. I can't believe it, this is so awful.

I don't remember when or how I found out about him, but I distinctly remember that the first song I ever heard was Moonlight on Vermont (second and third were Pena and Neon Meate Dream of a Octafish), and I just fell in love. He had the most amazing howling vocals and weird timing, so cool, so different.

So, I'm on the computer last night, right, and I've got the tv on just for background noise. Anyway. This kind of techno-ish song comes on and I glance over, and I'm like, OH! I actually really like this video!* The song really isn't too bad either. So I'm watching, watching, and at the end the name and artist comes on and...

Deadmau5. Freaking Deadmau5 are you freaking kidding me. It keeps happening like this and omigod I was so irritated I just went and downloaded the whole discography. So of course by this time, I'm going to sleep, but I'm just lying in bed and all arrrrrg freaking Deadmau5. XD

It's still going, so probably by the time work is over today it'll be done, and whenever I have a day off, I'll just listen to all the songs.
