So, went out with Nate tonight, saw The Rum Diary. It's was pretty good. Interesting. Not exactly what I was expecting, I must say.

Fortunately, there was very little talk of his new gal, which of course I was quite pleased with. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm not happy for him and all that, but it's really not something I'm interested in hearing about, from him or anyone else*. I'm not even gonna mention anything about that though, because seriously. Seriously. Anyway, borrowed some comics off him, so yeah. That's about it.

So windy outside though! Crazy.

So, went and hung out with Nate today. Was fun! Watched a bunch of stuff, overall pretty good! Started off with Kung Fu Hustle, which I'd never seen and he swore was hilarious, so yeah, why not? I... yeah. Didn't think it was that good. Some funny parts, but overall not really impressed. Oops?

Next up, Neon Genesis Evangelion: You Can (Not) Advance, which was awesome! YAY~! In English though, which seems so unnatural to me. Anyway, still enjoyed it. Um, is Mari not the coolest ever?!?! Like seriously. Asuka is (and forever will be) my favorite but man, that girl! YESSS

After that watched two episodes of XXXHolic, which I'd been told about by both Jackie and him, but never bothered to check out. Because I am lazy? Anyway, it was kinda interesting. Honeslty don't know if it's something I'd pursue actively. HM.

NEXT! Blues Brothers! I'd never seen this whole movie, only like one scene. Because I am super lame? So yeah, we're watching, and it's coming up on the end of the movie, around 2AM now, and don't I just feel like biggest bitch on the planet. He's so freaking tired he's falling asleep, and then I gotta call dad to pick me up, and he was sleeping too, since it was a little later than I'd planned to be out. I mean, if it had been any other day, I'd have just stayed there, no problem, that'd all have been avoided. But why? WHY? Because today, today, of all days, I'm surfing the crimson wave. So yeah, thanks for that, universe. Very funny.

So, went out to the movies with Nate tonight, saw Cowboys & Aliens, which was... eh. It was ok. Entertaining at least. I think the best part of the movie was when he took the peyote. Other than that, meh. Also! Greatly disappointed in the severe lack of beards, I must say!

After that went to Boston Pizza and split a pierogi pizza. It was pretty good! Kinda spicy and was covered in scallions (and apparently, I'm the only one who calls them that? Green onions, whatever). But yeah, was good. Apparently my eating technique is amusing, too? He watched me eat for a while, because about halfway through or so, what I'd do was take tiny bites then look at the pizza to check for any scallions that were in it. Yeah. Weirdo! At least try and be subtle, jeez!

Hung out for a bit, which turned out to be a while, by the time we actually checked it ended up being about 2:15. Oops! So yeah, home now. He'd mentioned a convention... next weekend or so? whatever, but I don't think so. Large crowds? HAHA NO THANKS. But anyway, yeah. Was a good night.

Finally got around to watching Watchmen. I'd had a bootleg copy sitting around forever, and I was in a mood, so I watched it. Yeah. What? Unimpressed.

This movie is just so... uninteresting. I kept watching and waiting for something to happen but nothing ever did, and even if something did happen, it still wasn't anything "wow!" or that would keep my attention. Maybe since I had no previous knowledge of this series? Maybe if I'd read some of the comic beforehand it'd be better? But honestly, after watching this, I don't have any interest in persuing the books to see if they're any good/better than this. (but, they must be better, right? How can this be so wow awesome totally changed my fuckin' life with a strong cult following if it's just this... meh?)

Felt like it was the longest movie ever, too! Just felt so slow going along, I really didn't enjoy any of it. Bonus: directed by Zack Snyder! Bam! I don't think I've ever liked anything he's done. Derp. But yeah. That's it.

Final Verdict: Whatever.

Anyway. Went to see X-Men: First Class, which was quite good! I enjoyed it! Was a little Wolverine cameo, which was excellent. It was full of subtitles too! Foreign languages, joy of joys!! After that we went downtown to eat but couldn't really find a good place, so we got a pizza and went to his house to watch more movies. Only ended up watching one: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

I'd been putting off seeing that since I wasn't really into the comics and I'm not at all a fan of Michael Cera, but it was good. At that point it was like 1:30-ish I think? So I called dad to come pick me up and here I am. Nate had actually brought up the point that I could crash there for the night, but that would be totally weird. Wouldn't it? Am I so totally socially inept (yes) that this is a normal thing and I don't even realize it? I really, honestly, have no idea. Even if it is some kind of standard practice, I don't think I could ever so such a thing. Maybe I'm being rude or something hahaha

ANYWAY, yeah. Good times. Borrowed some comics off him (Preacher), which he had been talking about, so I figured I'd read it. Might be good, and if not, I only have 4 of the TPBs so I'm not totally invested if I don't end up liking it.

Ah, I just watched this cute Cantonese movie, called Love In A Puff. Loved it~

Did a little spring cleaning today. Got rid of a bunch of clothes and stuff. Unfortunately, a bunch of the stuff I kept doesn't fit, and I'm just keeping in hopes I'll fit into them sometime soon. Blah.

Anyway. Dad asked me today what I wanted to do for my birthday, and I said "nothing". It's true, too. That's kind of sad, isn't it? XD

Back from the movie. Ended up seeing Red Riding Hood, which... well, it wasn't too bad. Dialogue was kinda lame at times, but it was nice to look at, you know? Haha. Then dinner again and yeah! Nothing too different from last time, really.

I guess that's all!

Just finished watching The Time Traveller's Wife, which was like the most nothing movie ever. So dull.

Also! Guy in the movie had the worst sideburns EVER. What the hell man seriously.

So, went out to the movies with Nate today. We worked it out that we'd meet at Staples (since we had to pick up checks anyway) then went from there. Anyway, taking buses and walking in serious cold, got to the theatre. We ended up seeing The Green Hornet. LOL Wasn't... too bad. I mean, I've seen worse, and there were some decent parts, but yeah. We were going to see Unknown, but the times it was playing at didn't mesh well with when we arrived.

After that, went to eat at the nearby Boston Pizza. Haven't seen there before, and their menu is... meh. I had this five-cheese ravioli thing which was pretty good though. Filling. Then just sat around and talking about movies and music and comics and whatever. Stood around waiting for the bus, and now I'm home. Woo! All in all, was a good day.

Anyway! Oscars on sunday! I'm looking forward to that~

Just finished watching Saw: The Final Chapter, and omigod, what a terrible movie. So bad. SO BAD.
